Introduction to golf came at a young age when my father, a Semi-Pro golfer in the 1940s, taught me how to play at the age of 5.
This early exposure led me to have a passion for the game that stayed with me throughout my life.
In the early 1970s, I played collegiate golf while I was finishing my degree in Physical Education & Health Education ; with emphasis in Sports Physiology .
Senior research project was identifying the biomechanics impact and how various parts of the body muscles and joints were used in a golf swing.
My first teaching position was in Hastings, Minnesota. Where my husband and I bought a house near Hastings Country Club, where we still are members since 1974.
Over the years, I have helped both children and adults learn the game. Coached golf teams and taught Senior Golfers through community programs.
Also I was very active in the Minnesota Golf Association sponsored tournaments up until 2018.
I have played in Club Championships at my home course Hastings Golf Club.
Including this year as an “adaptive golfer” in 2023 for 49 years in a row.
As a technology specialist and consultant oversaw the beta development software project in providing instructional design and testing requirement's. For the initial launch of the United States Golf Association (USGA) handicapped index software to be deployed at USGA golf courses nationwide.

Where I was the President of the Board of Directors for the golf course originally named Hastings Country Club.
Hastings Country Club was a frequent course used for various state championships by the Minnesota Golf Association, where I was a member of the MGA Advisory Board.
Hastings Golf Club & Events Center was instrumental as a HHGR test site for products recommended in 2023 and will be in the future.
